If you are starting a new project you set the Project Location to you external hard drive In the New Project dialogue box. For an existing project you can move or copy the project files to your external harddrive. Then in the Project View select the Options tab and in here set the new path to the project (*.CCM) file. After doing this you will need to use the Reference Manager (from the Project Menu) to update the patch to photos and other links in the project.
