Product(s): ContectCapture Version(s): All Environment: Windowss Area: Aerotriangulation Subarea: N\A Problem When a dataset is acquired, you can sometimes have non-relevant objects appearing on your pictures As explained in the general documentation of the software, you can't crop, rotate or resize your images manually because all the EXIF information will be lost . Solution The only way to process correctly an AT in such a case consists in using a mask-file, in order to hide the non-relevant part of your pictures. This file must be: a black/white image a TIFF format file of the exact same size of the picture you want to hide named name_of_the_picture_to_be_masked_mask.tif or just mask.tif if it concerns a whole folder placed in the same folder as the picture(s) to be masked Common issues found when applying a mask: - Incorrect location of mask-files - Incorrect name of mask-files - Incorrect size of mask-files To verify that the mask is used, the we can check the photo tab: The red shading is the masked area of the photo Original Author: Felix James
