I often find articles about how to reduce number of CGP using RTK or PPK and I'm in doubt: didn't I understand how it work? or didn't understand people who write this articles? Correct me if I'm wrong. If I use GCP in ContextCapture (and I think the same in the most of the other competitor) the software use the coordinates of this points to do adjustment/registration and don't use position metadata. So if I use CGP (even just 3) there is no difference if I have PPK/RTK or not. The advantage to have PPK/RTK there is only where you can't put any GCP and working with PPK/RTK allows you to have acceptable accuracy/precision. This is what I know and understood. Let me know if I am wrong and I didn't understand, how really work CC using GCP (use position metadata or not)? and what do you think about this.
