Realistically you need to be shooting pretty high shutter speeds anyway for best effect .. and you won't be going fast. You want 1/1000th+ anyway. Given the mechanical shutter is less than 1/2000th .. you might assume it takes less than 1/2000th of a second or so to read the data, line by line, off the sensor. Rule of thumb - shutter wants to be open less than the time it takes the drone to move 1/2 a pixel GSD. So at 1/1000th of a second and say 1cm GSD - you can move less than 5mm. Working backwards for speed .. distance / time .. 0.005/0.001 .. top speed is 5 metres per second. Chances are though given a 2 frames per second capture - you will be going slower anyway. Lucky if I seem to fly more than 2 ms-1. If you were flying faster - you would get a fixed wing .. not a multi. Haven't looked too hard at the Mavic yet .. but could be interesting .. batteries (flight time) are probably the deciding factor to be honest if a similar sensor result.
