Forum Post: RE: Pointools export - Gathering data for POD never ends?

I am currently trying an xyz-ASCII export/import Export Export finished after 3,5 hours, and the filesize ended at ~59GB. I was presented with ZERO export options, so I hope it exports the visible and edited clouds? Import, trial one, failed: The importer did not pick up the correct values. It assumed a pattern like XYZiRGB, but the exporter did it like XYZRGBi (It assumed the intensity was the fourth item, even though that column was a 0-1 float and not bytesized) And now we wait for the import.. Which failed after an hour with something like "error -100, error reading file." Before failing, it had a nice POD file building up. It was around 8GB last I checked. Once pointools failed, it left a teeny 33kb POD in its place. Import, trial two, the same, but different, but still the same: This time exported without the uniform filter. After about one hour, a 15GB temp-POD file was ready. Followed by five minutes of "indexing data", which lead straight to that infamous flickering statusarea! What I assume is to be the final POD-file, is at the time of writing 39kb.. Nothing seems to be written to it. Pointools is running wild in GUI statusmessage updates: Here's a reminder from OP of what that looks like: The status area in pointools (bottom left) flickers between (at least) these four different status messages: 1. Gathering data for POD file: iteration 205862 using up to 6288373Mb for buffer. (The iteration count is counting up.) 2. Writing data to POD file. 3. Filtering data.. 4. Ready : Free navigation, use LMB etc.. *cries* @Felix: Any news on how you could possibly help with this issue? I am pretty desperate here.
