Hello All, I'd like to suggest an enhancment for the PointCloud File>Attach tool. Please add the DEM / ESRI ASC file format as an import option. These files only contain point information - typically in a grid format. We receive a lot of data in this format and typically the data is supplied in very large files. The files are generated in a grid pattern. Rule of thumb, a project tends to be located at the intersection of 4 of these files... Attempting to import this data as a surface in the Civil applications can, at time, be very difficult - memory issues due to the amount of points. Many times I've had to convert the ESRI ASC file to a ASCII XYZ file so I can then import that into the PointCloud engine. This is very time consuming... The PointCloud engine would easily deal with the number of points and, using the Civil "Terrain from PointCloud" tool, we could then use a fence to isolate the specific area required for the project & assign the filter methods to that area only.
