Forum Post: RE: LumenRT Support/product help

Thanks for the quick reply...and more importantly for some answers. How about the other question I forgot initially...how do we get Support at this stage? Select is not required for it too, is it? I am glad to learn that the new version will remain viable to other CAD software and will continue to develop in conjunction with the other e-on products. I can't say that the "GeoDesign only" version will be of any benefit to me, but obviously that's a company decision and individual users have very different needs, particularly users of Bentley products, so understood on that. I am very surprised about this maintenance arrangement, though...it would seem that my e-on maintenance renewal of a month ago was not worth much of anything if I will only receive continual updates at this stage by now also adding (paying for) Select? I realize you mention a discounted Select rate but I certainly hope that a refund of e-on maintenance payment will also be an option should that additional cost not be worthwhile to users who don't want to pay any additional money, particularly for features they may not need. Based on prior e-on communications, I would still be eligible for the 2016 version even without my renewal of a month ago, so not sure I understand why e-on maintenance renewal was still even being offered then (actually it appears it even still is today looking at my e-on account page?) without clarification on the software transition and additional Select subscription costs now required. Anyway, would that (maintenance refund) be a discussion for the Bentley Account rep, or whoever is supposed to be contacting me, or have to be done through e-on instead? I obviously don't have an "Account Manager" here since I'm new to Bentley...so not sure how that is supposed to happen? The generic sales account link you posted is exactly the same as what happens through the email links. The person that started this thread obviously hadn't heard any reply, nor had someone posting on the e-on (Vue) Forums so it's not just me, and I actually only tried yesterday. But back to my original point, shouldn't Bentley be contacting every user under maintenance automatically already with specifics since some of the terms of the e-on maintenance agreement appear now void? Thanks again. Despite my unease with some of these answers, obviously it's good to finally learn something.
