Forum Post: RE: Acute 3D viewer
Hi Jim, The only option you have is to either enable or disable the background. To do this go to Tools > Options and check or uncheck the box in the "Atmosphere" section
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Converting point clouds to PODs
Regardless of the compression settings, PODcreator and PointTools CONNECT seem to replace the actual points with interpreted points with a uniform spacing no less than 1mm as shown: . The red dots are...

Hi Oto, I didn't try that so I don't know if will solve your problem....in that specific case befor launch the aerotriangulation did you tried to set "vertical view only" in the "additional tab"?
View ArticleForum Post: RE: [Contextcapture] Block type:Vertical views only
Yes I have set it before aerotriangulation but it doesn't seem to change anything. I would expect that this setting would work as automatic vertical+georeference but it is not. I have idea which I...

Hello, I would be interesting to export to e57 and laz files from Pointools for easy import to ContextCapture. Best Regards, Fabrice

You could also replace sky pictures in installation folder but it will work only for the local viewer and will be the same for all models you open. "C:\Program Files\Bentley\Acute3D...
View ArticleForum Post: RE: [Contextcapture Editor] Unroll/Unfold a facade
You have to produce point cloud in Contextcapture then process it in Cloudcompare and then import back. The results will be ugly if you did not set the scan location correctly as it is lost in...

View ArticleForum Post: RE: [Contextcapture Editor] Unroll/Unfold a facade
yes you have to import as a new block as static scan and arbitrary coordinates. Model texture will come from point cloud so pictures are not needed.
View ArticleForum Post: RE: [Contextcapture Editor] Unroll/Unfold a facade
Okay, thanks. And when you unroll your model in cloudcompare, what was your radius?
View ArticleForum Post: RE: [Contextcapture Editor] Unroll/Unfold a facade
Measure the radius from point cloud. It should be close to real radius as it doesn't do any plane fitting. When importing as static scan measure some point coordinate in middle of wall in cloudcompare...
